I'm from northern California, graduated the same year as Jeff Maehl, and watched him play in the Section Championship his senior year. I've rooted for him all the way through. When he was signed to Oregon, was was a no-name who they thought would be a backup safety. Look what he did there. I can't for the life of me figure out how any team would not want this kid after seeing him burn Aurburn in the NC game. Was hoping the 49ers would draft and or sign him. Bumme that they didn't. You're getting a good one though, and I expect him to surprise a lot of people.

Yea it would be nice to see Foster get like 17 or 1800 yards next year and try and make Matt Schaub become more of a game manager getting the ball to Andre more often instead of the other team..

Well, all we can say is....it took long enough to figure out the run blocking scheme brought over by Boobiak and Rick Smith from Denver !!
Slaton wouldn't have done much worse as a starter.
That said, Foster ran wild last year and I'm hoping for an encore performance, as Schaub is a choker inside the 20's(both 20's)!

I wouldn't call Gary Kubiak the worst coach in the league, he just should have gotten an established defensive coordinator a long time ago..he's definitely not a defensive minded coach and that's been the problem with the Texans these past two seasons. Hopefully they fix the secondary because that is what's really holding them back. The pass rush is decent Mario Williams has been great, but he's the only guy. Hopefully Wade Phillips turns that around

Andre Johnson is the best receiver in the game. Period exclamation point.
Just think what AJ could do with Manning, Brady, Brees, Rivers, Matt Ryan, Aaron Rodgers, or Ben Rothlisburger.
Ergo, "that's" where we as Texans fans are lucky.
That htown has another "best at his position" franchise piece (the only other being Olajuwon) that for some unknown reason wants to stay.
Blind luck given that we have the leagues worst head coach(challenge me here and I will respond), a qb who gets skittish inside the 20(both 20's), and a team that lacks a pass rush after 9 years.
I feel for AJ, and pray Boobiak and Schaub step aside for championship-hungry players on the rise. Please go away Gary! We suffered through as much average as we can stomach!

Rogers is overrated...he's never been a great corner in the first place and he's too old to be effective now..they need to go after a corner who can impact the coverage not just be a leader

I've felt the same way all year. A corner won't fix all the problems. I have different names in mind though. I think the with the young talent at corner the Texans have they will go with seasoned Vet for a little leadership and help bridge the gap until the one of the youngsters is ready to start. I'm thinking Taylor or Rogers. A name at safety I haven't heard and I think fits what the Texans will need in the new Defensse is Danieal Manning. I little undersized but has cover skills and is afraid to make a tackle, good price too.
